Call for Application – Adire Threads of Heritage
Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) and Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN), in collaboration with Adire Oodua Textile Hub, present the Adire Threads of Heritage—an exclusive opportunity for visionary designers to create, showcase, and sell Adire-inspired fashion collections while gaining industry recognition.
This initiative allows selected designers to submit a mood board for a fashion collection featuring Adire fabrics. Successful applicants will receive free Adire fabrics to produce their designs. AOTH, in collaboration with AFWL & AFWN, will handle the marketing and sales of the collection, creating an opportunity for young designers to gain exposure while perfecting their craft.
How It Works
- Submit Your Mood Board – Share your proposed Adire fashion collection concept via the application form.
- Get Selected – Our team will review applications and handpick designers whose concepts align with our vision for further interviews.
- We Provide the Materials – Selected designers will receive Adire fabrics to produce the collection.
- Your Designs Go to Market – we will market and sell the collections, ensuring your work reaches fashion buyers, retailers, and global audiences.

Who Can Apply?
- Age: 18 – 35 years old
- Nationality: Nigerian
- Education: Background in fashion design or a related field (degree or diploma)
- Experience: 1-3 years in fashion design
- Creativity & Innovation: Ability to blend Adire heritage with contemporary fashion.
